The purpose of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability.
The NDIA will also provide great benefit to the families and carers of Australians living with a disability. The NDIS is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean peace of mind for every Australian, for anyone who has, or might acquire, a disability.
We are seeking candidates to fill a range of Non-Ongoing APS Level 4 opportunities both immediately and in the near future in our Midland Regional Office. Roles offered will be for a term of up to 18 months with a possible extension up to three years.

Possible vacancies may include the following business streams:
• People (Human Resources)
Responsible for assisting regional management with workforce planning, reporting and HR support alongside providing support in NDIA recruitment processes to assist the region in meeting their staffing needs in the surge to full scheme. The team works closely with the People and Culture Division to ensure the provision of consistent, clear advice in relation to workforce planning requirements and NDIA recruitment practices.
Working in a virtual environment, the Complaints team works within the Regional Quality teams to ensure feedback influences continuous improvement. The team supports the National Complaints Team and regional hubs to provide timely and proactive advice for complaints management across the agency and provides guidance and support on processes, deadlines and responsibilities supporting the National Complaints Team and staff.
• Finance Support
Responsible for a broad range of financial related support duties including data entry and verification of finance related elements of participant plans and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the financial elements of a participants plan are handled in accordance with NDIS and Commonwealth policies and procedures.
• Customer Relations
The team works with participants and their families to build capacity to exercise choice and control and support them to achieve their goal by building new community networks and accessing support and services in the local community. The team also engages with local organisations and communities to build awareness and improve opportunities for people with disability to access and actively participate in community activities.
These vacancies are to be filled under an affirmative measure to improve employment opportunities for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in the Australian Public Service. They are open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship. Failure to do so may jeopardise your offer of employment.
Dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.
