The purpose of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability.
The NDIA will also provide great benefit to the families and carers of Australians living with a disability. The NDIS is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean peace of mind for every Australian, for anyone who has, or might acquire, a disability.
We are seeking candidates to fill a range of Non-Ongoing APS Level6 opportunities both immediately and in the near future in our Midland Regional Office. Roles offered will be for a term of up to 18 months with a possible extension up to three years.

Possible vacancies may include the following business streams:
• People (Human Resources)
Responsible for providing generalist human resources support and advice to managers and employees in line with established Agency processes and policies, public service guidelines, legislative requirements and government policy. In addition, this area has responsibility for supporting human resources initiatives driven from National Office.
Responsible for ensuring the funding and corporate objectives or the NDIA are achieved while ensuring high level internal customer service and quality advice on general business and scheme sustainability. In addition, monitoring and undertaking data analysis regarding funding arrangements and trends, reporting on regional budgets, contracts, procurement, resources and expenditure within the region.
Responsible for high level quality and performance activities to support day to day operations in an expending network. This area also works with implementing at a regional level, the quality initiatives as determined by the National Office Quality team and framework in addition to guiding and supporting regional management on complex technical advice, performance and audit reports and analysis.
• Provider Engagement
Responsible for the establishment and ongoing engagement with internal and external stakeholders to help implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme in the regions. The team engages with people with disabilities, their families and carers to understand their needs and work with them to explain how the NDIS will work.
• Community Engagement
Responsible for working with the local leadership group to ensure the proactive and strategic delivery of the NDIA’s regional community and stakeholder engagement, develop and deliver external communications and engagement activities to drive national consistent and locally tailored solutions and provide support on projects and activities across the National Communications and Engagement Branch as required.
• Partner Relationships
Responsible for monitoring and guiding the relationships with Partners based in the region who are responsible for Partner in the Community delivering such services as Local Area Coordination (LAC) and/or Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services and Information, Linkages and Capacity building (ILC) functions.
