Our National Graduate Program offers unlimited opportunities.
We offer you the chance to use the skills and knowledge you gained at university to design, develop, deliver, coordinate and monitor a range of government services. These include social security, child support, students, families, aged care and health programs to the community on behalf of the Australian Government.
During the 10 month program you will get on the job training specific to your work area, extensive learning and development opportunities, the support of a Senior Executive Service mentor and exposure to diverse Australian communities.
Graduates undertake a variety of work across the department as part of the Generalist or Professional pathway. The Generalist pathway accepts applicants from all academic backgrounds. The Professional pathway is for applicants with a degree focussed on communication, data analytics, finance, human resources, law or social work.

• have completed your last day of study, at a minimum level of an Australian recognised undergraduate degree, on or after 6 March 2015.
You can apply whilst you’re still studying, as long as you complete your last day of study and provide evidence of successful completion before the program starts in early February 2019.
All graduates will be required to obtain and hold a minimum of a Baseline security clearance.
Please note in the majority of positions will be based in Canberra. Applicants must be willing to relocate if required. Opportunities to complete the program outside of Canberra are limited and vary each year depending on business requirements.
