To be eligible you must have completed at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent within the last 5 years.
To be eligible for these positions you must be an Australian Citizen on commencement of the program (February 2019).
An applicant’s suitability for employment with Health will also be assessed through a variety of pre-employment check processes, such as:
• Satisfactory completion of an Australian Federal Police criminal history check, and where relevant a Working with Children and Vulnerable People Check.
• Completion of a medical declaration and pre-employment medical (where required).
• Providing evidence of qualifications (where required).
The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance, or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level.
The Department of Health Graduate Development Program is located in Canberra and successful applicants would need to live in Canberra to undertake the role. Relocation assistance is available to those applicants that move to Canberra.
