Indigenous Graduate Program

The Australian Government Indigenous Graduate Recruitment Program is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university graduates. The Australian Public Service Commission coordinates the program annually on behalf of approximately 30 agencies within the Australian Public Service and Commonwealth.

Through just one application, successful candidates are eligible for positions in graduate development programs across all participating agencies. Each agency’s graduate program is different, but most run for 12 to 24 months and include both formal and informal learning and development opportunities and potential advancement upon successful completion. While the large majority of positions are located in Canberra, there are limited places in regional offices and many agencies can provide assistance with relocation.

All that is needed is a bachelor’s degree attained in the last 5 years, and the drive to succeed.

Applications for the 2019 program will open in May 2018.
