Indigenous Mentoring Program

Welcome to the Australian Public Service Commission’s Indigenous Mentoring Program.

The Indigenous Mentoring Program is to develop Indigenous APS and Commonwealth employees. The success of the mentoring experience depends on the partners sharing common goals and expectations, having a commitment to the mentoring partnership, and giving and receiving trust and respect.

Mentoring offers a great opportunity to develop skills, share knowledge, encourage the formation of networks, and work together towards future goals. Your involvement in this initiative will enhance your understanding of your own professional and cultural identity, as well as the cultural differences of others. Whether you're a Mentor or Mentee, this is your chance to inspire, empower and challenge others.

If you are an Indigenous APS or Commonwealth employee who wishes to be a mentee or mentor, or a non-Indigenous APS or Commonwealth employee who aspires to be a mentor, apply for the Program now. The Commission will start the matching process for mentoring partnerships from the 25 June 2018 onwards. Nominations for the program will close on 31 August 2018.

Apply now by submitting your nomination through the Commission's Indigenous Mentoring Portal. Click here to apply
